My Muse Is Going Crazy!

It's true! I hadn't written in such a long time, then started again, finishing Highland Barbarian, and wow! My muse woke up. Right now I have three different manuscripts in progress, in varying stages. One is in final edits as I work through my first draft. One is about three quarters finished, and one is in complete rewrite stage to work on a bunch of inconsistencies. AND I CAN'T SHUT HIM UP! I've already got other plotlines rolling around in my head. Just stop already!!

The one talking to me the most right now is a paranormal romance called The Trouble With Vampires. The mini working blurb is:

A wolf walks into a diner.

He’s running from vampires, looking for a new pack, and definitely not looking for love.
Then he meets Daniella.
She’s beautiful, flirtatious, and unfortunately… a vampire.
Caleb has enough trouble with vampires already.
It's so much fun. Set in the same world as my fantasy Slightly Staked, so if you had a chance to read that one, you'll already know some of the characters. It's under a slightly different pen name because it's something completely different for me and I don't want to confuse anyone. So yes, E. L. Smith is me.

I'm rewriting Thief Of Hearts, which is a rom com about jewel thieves and a smart private eye trying to solve the case. I haven't got a short synopsis on this one yet. Damn werewolves and vampires are keeping me busy.

The one I'm on final edits on will be most likely be released in early December. I've got the back blurb and artwork ready to go, which makes it feel so much more real. It's another historical romance, set in Nevada.

It's called Bride of Ash Creek and the working back cover blurb is as follows:

In 1870s Nevada, eighteen-year-old Emma Campbell dreams of a future built on love—but her family’s failing ranch is running out of time.

With foreclosure looming, the Campbells make a desperate bargain: Emma must marry Ridge Ashton, a wealthy rancher whose fortune could save them all. Emma agrees, hiding a secret—she has loved Ridge since childhood… and knows the truth about the violent act that shaped his life.

But Ridge is nothing like the man she remembers. Cold, distant, and determined to keep emotion out of his world, he treats their marriage as a business arrangement only. Emma is left to wonder if she has gambled everything for a man who will never love her in return.

As sabotage and betrayal ignite a deadly conflict between families, Emma and Ridge are forced into a fight for survival that threatens to destroy everything—or finally bring them together.

Because in the West, survival takes everything… and love may cost the most.

So, phew. Yeah, I'm writing. And I'm having a blast!

Thanks for listening to my rambles.

Until next time,

Ellie
